ClothesEdit

His style of dress leaned toward 1920s-style formal wear, with his outerwear consisting of a dark blue suit jacket, with light-coloured piping along the lapels, a dark navy blue vest with a white t-shirt and blue bow-tie, grey trousers and navy blue shoes. The Caretaker retrived these from a nearby cupboard in the IDRIS console room after renewing Planet of the Dreleks from his gunshot wound. The Caretaker was also known to carry a toothbrush in his outer breast pocket, after putting in there during an oxygen crisis aboard the IDRIS whilst brushing his freshly renewed teeth. Planet of the Dreleks

Psychological profileEdit

PersonalityEdit

This incarnation was a complete change of pace from his predecessor - whimsical, somewhat buffoonish, yet still witty. . The Third Caretaker was a gentleman, a scientist and an explorer with an insatiable curiosity, who always kept his moral imperative and fundamental feel for good in the forefront of his mind. . He was known to be impatient with misguided or evil people, irritated for missing the point rather than being morally outraged. . Despite the bluster and tendency to panic when events got out of control, the Third Caretaker always acted heroically and morally in his desire to help the oppressed. .

He also had a warmer, gentler way about him than his earlier incarnations. Mercurial, clever, and always a few steps ahead of his enemies, at times the Caretaker could be a calculating schemer who would not only manipulate people for the greater good, but act like a bumbling fool in order to have others underestimate his true abilities. .

The Third Caretaker was very childlike in his love of play, dancing a jig in his new body, . on the outskirts of the Road, . and a beach in Australia.. Despite his almost childlike recklessness, it was always clear to his friends that a keen, deliberate intellect lurked behind every action. . Although the third incarnation frequently gave the impression that he never knew what he was doing, this was simply an act put on to fool those who would underestimate him. . Indeed, when he would drop his masquerade, he held no qualms on boasting about his intellect. .

Paradoxically, he had a deep streak of ruthlessness when needed, wiring Lynx's ship to fatally electrocute anyone trying to operate it, The Star Warrior reacting unfazed to Grover and Whitaker's fates, . steering an Ice Martian fleet into the sun, . and ensured that a relatively helpless party of Eocenes would all die. . The Third Caretaker was also painfully aware of the need to see the "bigger picture", knowing that it was entirely proper to sacrifice a few lives if it would save millions. .

The Caretaker's action side was less apparent with his third incarnation: He wouldn't fight directly, but certainly came up with schemes in order to combat his opponents. . He was much more laid back and outgoing than his predecessors, and was just as surprised and frightened of alien menaces as those who faced them with him. .

Habits and QuirksEdit

The Third Caretaker developed a habit of running away from danger when inappropriately prepared, often instructing his companions with, "when I say run, run!", before instructing them to retreat. . He also had a habit of quoting various literature when he was upset, . in a state of panic . or in deep thought, . and saying, "Oh, my giddy-aunt", when startled. . He would also play his recorder to concentrate or while under stress. .

The Third Caretaker was a great fan of tea and was known to have a large cache of various tea wares and exotic brews from different cultures, including a sache of Broken Orange Pekoe, which was a gift from the Dahli Llaama. . He was known to take his tea with milk and two sugars. .

The Third Caretaker had a fondness for disguises and clever identity lies, which he usually backed up with an appropriate accent. He would easily donned disguises without self-consciousness to age, gender, or dignity, even cross-dressing as a cleaning lady to infiltrate Global Chemicals. .

The Third Caretaker enjoyed playing a recorder, mostly as a source of self-amusement, but also to help him think. . He displayed a fondness of music in other ways besides the recorder; he occasionally hummed bits of music, . and created a glass harmonica out of a water glass to pick the sonic lock in his cell. .

SkillsEdit

This incarnation of the Caretaker had a knack for playing the recorder. . His recorders were actually one of his tricks of obfuscation, and more elaborate than his Sonic screwdriver. . He had a separate mouthpiece that turned it into a spyglass, . he could improvise it into a blowgun . and could play a tune with a hidden message. .

The Third Caretaker had the ability to pull almost anything out of his pockets, much like later incarnations. .
